Il libro è dedicato a Maria Grazia Billi, diventata famosa negli anni '50 e '60 come majorette della banda 'La Libecciata', simbolo della spensieratezza e dell'allegria che da sempre caratterizzano il carnevale di Viareggio. Le autrici, figlie di Maria Grazia, ne raccontano la vita attraverso una raccolta di appunti, foto d'epoca, articoli di giornali e ricordi personali senza tralasciare il contesto storico in cui è vissuta.
The book is dedicated to Maria Grazia Billi, who became famous in the '50s and '60s as a majorette of the 'Libecciata' band, symbol of the lightheartedness and joy that have always characterised the Viareggio Carnival. The authors, daughters of Maria Grazia, tell about her life in this book through a collection of notes, old images, newspapers articles and personal memories, without omitting the historical context in which she lived.
Durante la presentazione le due sorelle hanno letto alcune pagine del libro mentre foto dell'epoca scorrevano su un grande schermo, cosa molto apprezzata dai presenti in sala.
During the presentation, the two sisters read some passages from the book while old images were displayed on a large monitor, which was much appreciated by the attendees.
Al termine le autrici hanno donato al dr. Muzio Scacciati, direttore tecnico del Club Nautico, una bellissima foto della loro mamma ritratta sdraiata al sole su una barca a vela dell'epoca.
At the end, the authors gave Dr. Muzio Scacciati, technical director of the Nautical Club, a beautiful picture of their mother depicted lying in the sun on a sailing boat of the epoch.
